Hello! My name is Karen Hovind and I am a grade 7/8/9 teacher in Stockholm, Sk, Canada. I was born and raised in the Yorkton area but have traveled to many different countries and love to explore the world. This is my second year going to Nicaragua with YTGB. As an educator, I work hard to ignite a passion within my students for thinking globally and giving back. As I watch my students engage in the many initiatives in our school that focus on being positive global citizens, I am inspired by their heart and determination and want to follow in their footsteps. I am excited about going back to Nicaragua and bringing back my experiences to share with my classes here in Saskatchewan.
